A fun day at school!!!

We are zooming through this program and having a blast! I will admit that yes, the lessons are a little too easy for Kayla as many of the concepts we covered last year but it is good to repeat some of the concepts. The New and Old testament segments are fantastic and she is learning a great deal.

I am ordering her some more Kumon books to go along with this program as she loves them so much. We are also getting a great deal of learning games and activity items from the states. I ordered them all and Micah will be bringing them back to us when we comes home October 3rd from the states. We are going to miss our Daddy so much but I think it is good that we have so much to keep us busy! Very busy in fact. Between the school time we spend together each day, the playtime outside, the playgroups during the week and things we are adding on this year like swimming, the days are flying by! So while it is a very busy time for us, it is a beautiful time of learning and becoming closer to our girl.

This week in school we covered lessons 1 - 12. We started off with the lesson of Creation all the way through the walls of Jericho falling down!! :) With each Bible lesson there are activities to go along with the lesson, then there are subjects like Math, Phonics etc...added in along with Health and Safety and Physical activity. Subjects covered also include creative cooking, colors, shapes and so on. It is wonderful. The colors, shapes and counting are a bit easy for Kayla but we have learned to make games with the lessons to make them more complex. I really do feel she is ready for the Kindergarten studies and so we are going to go ahead and order her a few new programs to help her progress accordingly.

Here are some fun moments from our school time this week.......

Sweetheart we are so excited about all that Kayla is learning and what a wonderful teacher and mommy she has! A super Daddy too. We enjoyed all the pictures of our little girl. I always told you I would of been so happy to teach you History at home. Especially everything about Columbus. Love you soo much.
