Who is Jesus?

Last night Micah, Kayla and I were all in the study and I asked Kayla, " who is Jesus?" Her reply..."Well, let me see... Jesus, is the Lord of my heart."

Micah and I about fell over. We were shocked! I have to say, I will never, ever forget this day. If there is ONE thing I hope Kayla will take with her for the rest of her life, it is that Jesus, above all, is the Lord of our hearts and He will never leave us or forsake us. No matter how hard life can be, Jesus will give us the strength to get through any storm.

I asked Kayla where she learned that Jesus was the Lord of her heart. I asked if it was from the Papa bear show, which is Chuck Swindoll's Paws and Tales show she loves. She said Yes! I have to say that I wish I had taught Kayla that Jesus was the Lord of her heart, and while we pray to Jesus and I have taught her that he is always there for us to help us and he loves us so much, I must say, I was just so impressed that she took away such a powerful message from what she was watching. It makes you think, and re-think about what children watch!!!!! That absorb EVERYTHING! It is up to us to ensure that the message they are receiving is one of love, compassion, manners and above all, one of Christ.

I will never forget this moment. I am so proud of my girl and so excited about starting our new preschool program this fall!! I will be writing more about it in the next few weeks but it is going to be her first big, structured schooling program. We cannot wait!!

This is so wonderful and the best thing we would ever hear our little Kayla say. Thank you Jesus that you will always be the Lord of her heart and walk this life right by her side.
